We Are TINKU — A Bridge Between Bolivia and the World
Compartir
We are Eliana and Gonzalo, siblings, dreamers, and the co-founders of TINKU.
Our journey began with one simple idea — to build a bridge between our home, Bolivia, and the world.
Born and raised in the highlands of the Andes, we grew up surrounded by the incredible art of weaving, the softness of alpaca wool, and the strength of community. The colors, the patterns, and the stories behind every textile were part of our everyday life — and we wanted to share that heritage with the world.
Where Craftsmanship Meets Culture
Each piece we create is handmade by Andean artisans who live and work at over 3,600 meters above sea level. These women and men carry generations of knowledge in their hands — every scarf, shawl, and beanie reflects their culture, resilience, and artistry.
We use 100% alpaca wool, one of nature’s finest fibers — incredibly soft, warm, and durable. Our products are not only timeless in design but also made to last, connecting you directly to the land and people behind them.
More Than Fashion
TINKU is not just about beautiful products — it’s about connection.
The word “TINKU” comes from the Indigenous Quechua language and means “encounter.” For us, it symbolizes meeting, cooperation, and cultural exchange — a dialogue between Bolivia and the world.
Through TINKU, we aim to create fair jobs, empower artisans, and preserve traditional craftsmanship — while offering you something meaningful and authentic to wear.
From Bolivia to You
We’re proud to bring the spirit of Bolivia to Europe — from the hands of the artisans to your wardrobe. Every TINKU creation carries a story of love, skill, and purpose.
We are TINKU — a meeting point between tradition and modernity, between the Andes and the world.
And we’re so grateful that you’re part of our journey.
